Lush Bournemouth

Two weeks ago today, I was fortunate enough to be invited to the re-opening of the Lush store in Bournemouth. The Lush store in Bournemouth has been closed for AGES, however last Friday they re-opened in the evening for all of us bloggers and vloggers to go along and see the new store! Also, whilst we were there we were being shown the new Winter Range that they have in the Lush Store. This includes all of their Christmas stuff that I was far too excited about.

The new Lush store seemed so much bigger than the original one and everything just seemed laid out a lot better than the previous store. All the bath products were together and the hair care was together. It just felt a little bit more organised that the store previously.

Bournemouth is also the fourth store in the world to have the full Lush Makeup range, which I find amazingly cool as Lush Bournemouth is right on my door step!

Now they called this night the ‘Lush Bournemouth VIP Night’, I still LOL at this as I do not feel like a VIP! But being a ‘VIP’ you have to get free stuff 😂. I was fortunate enough to get 4 things for free! (WHAT?!?!?) All of these products were from their Winter/Christmas Range and we got to try everything out before we chose what we wanted in our goody bags!  We got to choose from 2 different bath bombs, one of which was Mistletoe which has a very floral scent. This turns your bath a gorgeous blue and pink colour. The other bath bomb was Never Mind the Ballistics. This was the one I chose as I really liked the scent which is quite fruity. There are notes of banana, lime and orange. This one also has the addition of coco butter which obviously make your skin insanely soft! This turns your bath a mixture of yellow and pink. It smells insane and I love it. Once I realised this was free I was quite happy to buy everything else, but then the girls who work there said that these were free I was overjoyed! We got to choose out of two body conditioners, the first being Christingle which was very pepperminty and fresh, the next was Snowfairy which is pink and has lustre (glitter, they don’t use the word glitter as customers would think of glitter being plastic and Lush only use natural ingredients) in it. Obviously when I saw the sparkles I had to choose that one! Snow fairy has a very sweet scent to it, Lush describe it as candy floss and it is just beautiful! I know there is more! We also got to try a couple of the Christmas lip scrubs! The first being Santa Baby which was a beautiful red colour. This consists of lime and coconut with extract of dates and cherries.  The  other option was Sugar Plum Fairy which was a purple colour. This smells of blackcurrant and oranges, it also has a very sweet scent that was just too hard to resist so I chose this one!

The last thing that we got for free was something that we got to make. We were lucky enough to be shown how they made the Ruby Red Slipper. This is a bubble bar and these crumble under the water to release the bubbles. This has notes of carnations absolute, tangerine oils and rose absolutes. This is also covered in lustre which just makes anything better! The ingredients mixed together in a mixing bowl and then gets smothered in lustre and then pressed into a mould to form the beautiful slipper shape.

Reviews on these products to come!

I wish I took a picture of how they bagged all of these products but unfortunately I just wanted to dive into my bag and smell everything and show my Mum! They used this Christmassy cloth and made it into a beautiful bag filled with all of my goodies that I was given.

If any of you know anything about a Lush store they are 100% ok with you trying everything in the store and the staff were there putting multiple products on our hands and getting us to smell them and compare our hands for the difference between products. I tried so many different things and I smelt amazing walking out of their and back home.

They also had cocktails specially made for them that went with the Christmas products. I had the one that was linked to Peeping Santa and it was incredible and I want to make it at home because it tasted delicious!

You can watch the vlog from the event here!

I’m so grateful to Lush Bournemouth for inviting me along to visit their new store and I’m also very happy as I made new friends there as well. Thank you girls for a wonderful evening and I hope we can meet up again soon!
