Can you get any good presents for under a fiver for secret santa AND also a good enough present to show that I put some thought into it AND even worse this present is for someone that I barely know!
For me I would go along the line of some form of chocolate. You can never go wrong with a chocolate bar of some sort. I think the best to get would be Dairy Milk as this has no nuts which is a big issue and also it is usually a favourite of most peoples!
Another thing that I would get is a nail polish. So many places do so many cheap, but decent brands! For me you can never go wrong with a Barry M red nail polish. Maybe that is because red is my favourite colour? Also red is a very festive colour, therefore it works with the season!
If you think nail polish is totally the wrong thing for this person, then I would suggest a hand cream. This is one of the things that I always forget to buy for myself, however, especially at this time of year when hands are getting drier. One of my favourite ones is Hand Food from Soap and Glory. I love the smell of this one!
Instead of a hand cream a body butter from the body shop would make the perfect gift. I am a big fan of the Body Shop and body butters are some of my favourite products. I have quite a few in my collection!
One thing that I bought on Tuesday in WHSmith was this collection of highlighters. Now this is perfect for someone who likes different colours of highlighters! Also if you are quick WHSmith are selling these for £4.99 instead of £9.99 so I would go get that bargain while it lasts.
One thing that I always appreciate is a candle. I really enjoy Yankee candles, but they are too expensive for a little Secret Santa present. There are cheaper alternatives from places like Wilko. I’ve had many candles from them and they are amazing! My favourite has to be the apple orchard scent.
Now all of this is a personal preference. Some of these suggestions might not be the most appropriate for the person that you have got, but these are just some ideas to help with the troublesome gift buying!
