A couple of weeks ago, I was invited down with 10 other Bournemouth Bloggers to go and spend some time in the sunshine and try out Alfresco Dining at the Upper Deck at the Christchurch Harbour Hotel. We were so lucky with the weather as we have had all of this glorious sunshine and warmth which made everything so much better!
The evening started with us receiving a glass of prosecco and a nice chat with Harrison and Emma overlooking the harbour. The views at the hotel are stunning. I can imagine if you were to stay in the hotel that the views from the rooms would be breathtaking.
All of the other Bournemouth bloggers started to arrive and it was so lovely catching up with the bloggers there. I have a real soft spot for the Bournemouth Blogger community as most of them are the loveliest people that I have met. We all had our drinks whilst watching the sea. We had some photos taken obviously, I mean, we are bloggers, we have to take photos of everything!
Also, like good bloggers we smelt the food and went towards it! We could see in this massive pot the paella! I love paella so you could probably tell I was pretty excited. I think you can easily see it in my face how happy I was when I received paella! The paella was served in a shell, which was a really nice idea and an inventive way of serving. It was a mixed paella which consisted of chicken, chorizo and a mix of seafood. (It had lots of muscles, which I am not a fan of, but I picked around them!).
They also had oyster shots, which I did not try. They don’t look all that appetising, so I decided to skip this. I’m not the biggest fan of seafood if I’m honest! However, both Louise and Rachel from the 15 Mile Foodie tried one and you can see their reaction in my weekly vlog.
Although we couldn’t quite see the sunset in its full glory, we did manage to catch glimpses of it through the trees, which was really nice, and don’t forget that golden hour lighting! THINK OF ALL THE PHOTO OPPORTUNITIES!
I had such a great night at the launch of Alfresco Dining at the Christchurch Harbour Hotel. I can’t wait to go back and try it out properly at a later date.
It looks like you had a lovely time, you all looked gorgeous! The concept of the upside down ice cream is great, it looks delicious! The Paella looks so yummy too, I’m getting all hungry reading this post!
