On Sunday 10th June, I was invited down to Ginjams which is a gin bar based in Westbourne in Bournemouth. We were invited down to celebrate World Gin Day (which was actually on the Saturday, but shhhhhh!).
I arrived at Ginjams and met all of my lovely Bournemouth blogger friends! We were given a Gin passport which showed all the different gins that they had available. There were over 65 different gins on offer. WHAT?!?!? I had no idea that there were that many gins in the world. As you can probably tell my gin knowledge is pretty poor! I think in my life I may have had one or two gins. Probably only one though! Also, I could not remember if I liked gin. I mean, I assumed I did, but I had no idea! So, I was unsure of what to go for!
I headed over to the flavoured gin station. I thought this would be a safe place for me to start and try out some gins. We were told about all the gins and they all looked so good, however, I had my heart set on a gin. This was a jelly baby flavoured gin! WHAT?!?!? I knew that this was the gin for me! The gin was poured in along with a light tonic and a few decorations. This gin is actually called Botanic (if you are interested) and honestly, it was AMAZING. I was a little worried that it was going to be a tad sweet, however, it really wasn’t, which was really surprising.
The next gin I tried was a strawberry flavoured one. I love strawberries, so I thought with the strawberry flavoured gin I would be safe! Again, the gin was poured in, and this time, I went with an Elderflower tonic. Some berries were placed on the top, to make it look pretty and hey presto! This was a LOVELY gin! Like, super lovely! (This gin is called Fresha.) This one also looked the prettiest out of the two gins. I had many a picture of me holding this gin as I thought it was lovely!
I’m not much of a big drinker, so I stopped at 2 G&T’s. Don’t get me wrong, they were lovely gins, but I am just not a big alcoholic drinker. I can imagine myself popping into Ginjams for a G&T on a summers evening. Maybe even an afternoon, see how wild I was feeling! 😂
The interior at Ginjams is also very Instagram and blog friendly! I actually really enjoyed having a little look round and I was saying to myself, ‘ooooh that would look nice in my future house!’. Ginjams also has a little garden as well, which is perfect for the warmer weather. It was really nice sitting out here and having a chat with friends!
I had such a lovely time at Ginjams in Westbourne. I really would recommend going to have a look at all whats on offer. Like I said, with over 65 gins, you can’t really go wrong! Massive thank you to both Ginjams and Bournemouth Bloggers for the invite.
Hi Ciara! New follower here babe! I never had gin before and the Ginjams looked awesome. I always wanted to go to places like that, guess I’ll have to start exploring the US a bit more lol 🙂 I really like your writing style and can’t wait to read more of your posts.

Thanks Natonya! It was such a lovely bar! ♡
I’m not a big drinker either – and I definitely don’t like gin. However, these sound amazing! It’s maybe flavoured gin I’ve been missing out on😅 glad you had a great time!

Honestly, the strawberry gin was lovely! I would highly recommend it. However, I would have it with a lemonade as it is slightly sweeter than it is with a tonic which makes it quite a bitter taste! ♡
Wow Ciara! This looks like a fantastic experience and so cool you got to meet up with other Bournemouth bloggers! 💖 I’m not a drinker but the jelly baby gin sounds delicious. I agree, the whole place is very instagrammable and I didn’t know there were so many gins either. Fab post girl! 😘 xx

Oh you lucky girl, I am very envious! I love gin, I even make my own fruit gin every autumn. I wish there were more events like this near me, I’d be out my front door so fast… Seriously, I’m so glad you had a good time and how lovely to meet fellow bloggers too. I’m intrigued by the jelly baby gin, that sounds fantastic! x
