Disney’s Christopher Robin | Film Review

On Monday of this week, I went with my Grandma to the cinema to go and see Disney’s Christopher Robin Film. Firstly, I want to point out before we address the film that it was my Grandma’s first time to a cinema in 40 years. She hasn’t been to the cinema since she saw Grease when my Mum was a child. My Grandma is not really a Disney fan, but her opinion was that it was different (whether that is a good thing, or bad thing, I have no idea!). The only complaint was that  it was too loud, but that is not the fault of the film, just the cinema, however, I think all cinemas are exceptionally loud!

Sorry for how dark this image is but, I really wanted to share this as I love it! I love how happy we both look. Plus I needed to share an image of my Grandma in the cinema to prove that she was there!

Anyways, back onto the film. Just be wary that there may be spoilers!

Disney's Christopher Robin film review

In Disney’s Christopher Robin, Christopher Robin has grown up and has a family of his own. He lives in London with his family and from what I can tell has a very boring job! I mean it has efficiency in the title, and if that does not scream boring to you, then I don’t know what will! Christopher Robin forgets how important family is so gets a visit from Winnie the Pooh. Pooh and Christopher Robin embarks on a journey to find his friends. Once reunited Pooh, Piglet, Tigger and Eeyore try to help Christopher Robin. (I think that’s fairly spoiler free!)

The only way that I can sum up my feelings of this film, is that my heart was well and truly warmed after watching this. For the rest of the day I felt so happy and full of love. But, I do have a soft spot for Winnie the Pooh. The plot of the film was so lovely and I like that it had a message of making sure family members spend time with their children and not forgetting their childhood. In an age where we spend more time in front of a screen than than with our loved ones, this was perfect. I think for many people it will be eye opening as this film shows the effect of parents not spending time with their children.

I would recommend watching Disney’s Christopher Robin. It will fill your heart with joy and make you feel all warm inside! I recommend watching it with family members and people you love as it is just one of those films that is so much better with family. Make sure you check out my previous film reviews here.
