An Evening with Lush Bournemouth

Well, I am one very happy bunny. I feel like I have gone full circle, however the circle is still very much growing! In October, I was invited back to the Lush store in Bournemouth for a blogger event with the Bournemouth Bloggers. Why I am so happy and honoured about this is because my very first event was at the Lush store in Bournemouth. As a matter of fact the event was roughly 2 years ago.

Anyways, lets get onto the Lush Bournemouth event!

We arrived and were greeted with pots of prosecco. Yes, you read that right! We were drinking our drinks from the pots that you get the lush products in. I really loved this idea, as Lush are very big on their recycling. We were even allowed to keep the pots, this was so if we collected 5 of the pots and take them back into stores, you can get a free fresh face mask. Such a great incentive to get people to return their used pots.

We were then asked to get into pairs with the person next to us, so we could ‘bond’.

Fun fact! I was standing next to Liz, and we are pretty great friends, so we didn’t really need to bond, but it was a giggle! We used a Snow Fairy massage bar which was to die for! But, what we didn’t realise, was that there was an awful lot of glitter involved. Lets be real, by the end of the massage, my hands were COVERED in glitter, but thats not a bad thing! Right?

Afterwards, we were able to get our hands mucky and make a couple of different products. The first being the ‘Shoot for the Stars’ bath bomb. This is one of my favourite bath bombs. I purchased it myself a couple of years ago, and I loved it! So, I’m super glad that I learnt how to make it!

We also had a go at making the Bunche de Noel cleanser. I’m going to be honest, the smell of this is not my favourite. I think I prefer sweet scents, but it wasn’t awful, and hey! That’s just my opinion. It definitely has a festive scent, so if you are into that, then this would be perfect for you. It was so interesting to watch this being made. I had no idea that their cleansers were rolled and then broken. I just assumed that they would be placed into the pots.

Lush Bournemouth have such amazing staff.

During the course of the evening, I learnt so much, thanks to the Lush staff. They are always super attentive and are so knowledgeable! They are also really great at getting you to buy things! I need to stop being influenced!

At the end of the evening, we were asked to pick an item from the store that we would like to give to the person we partnered with at the beginning. Liz and I quickly met and asked each other what we wanted! I know we are friends and should know what the other wants, but I always like double checking. Plus, I would have totally picked the wrong thing! I am useless at buying gifts! I told Liz to pick me up one of the Candy Cane bubble bars. Yes, I know its not Snow Fairy, but I did fall in love with this!  I’m so excited to use this in my bath for a festive touch.

Thank you so much to Lush Bournemouth and the Bournemouth Bloggers for the invite! I had such a lovely evening! I can’t wait to do another event there in the near future!

This post is not sponsored. I was invited down to Lush Bournemouth with the Bournemouth Bloggers for a complimentary evening, in exchange for a blog post. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
