Afternoon Tea at Haskins

Back in December, I was invited down to Haskins Garden Centre in Ferndown with the Bournemouth Bloggers for afternoon tea. I blooming love afternoon tea, so this was perfect for me!

I arrived at Haskins in Ferndown and met all the bloggers in the private room in the corner. It was all decorated for Christmas and it was so lovely. You can hire out this room for your own functions and its such a nice room.

After catching up with everyone, we eventually sat down for our afternoon tea.

First we were all given our sandwiches. There were a real selection, however one complaint is that there weren’t lots of different sandwiches on one plate. Normally at an afternoon tea you get three or four different sandwich fillings to choose from, whereas here we only had the two. Am I making sense? So instead of having 4 different flavour finger sandwiches we had two. But others had different fillings. I feel like I would have rated this afternoon tea better if I had different sandwich fillings. But the sandwiches were good though.

Then the tiers of cakes and scones arrived. Let me tell you that everything on their was delicious! I ended up taking some of it home because there was just so much food! My favourite cake was definitely the Victoria Sandwich. It was HUGE, but it was so delicious. Thankfully, Emma did not want hers so I ended up taking hers home for later!

After having our delicious afternoon tea, we all had a little look round at the Christmas decorations. There are some really unique bits at Haskins that I would make sure you go and have a look at if you have the chance before they put them all away!

We also found the Christmas selfie chair that Emma and I spent far too much time sat at to get the picks for the gram!

I have been going to Haskins for years as I love their garden centres. They have so many lovely gems in there. Things that you would not find anywhere else. I do highly recommend that you visit your local branch for some individual gift ideas and great food from the cafe.

Thank you to Haskins Garden Centre, Liz Lean PR and the Bournemouth Bloggers for the invite. I had an amazing time and will be back for more!
