Well, hey there! It’s been a while. In fact, a good 9 months since I posted. Wasn’t I supposed to complete Blogmas and only managed to complete two days?! Well yep, that’s me! You would think with a lockdown since then I would be busy typing away at this post and putting out weekly, if not daily posts. Well clearly, you would be wrong. Hence why, we are starting back up with a little September 2021 update.
So where have I been?
What a great question. Like most people, I’ve been staying at home. My anxiety has massively increased thanks to this pandemic. I am incredibly anxious to leave the house and be in large groups of people, in fear of catching the virus and bringing it home to the people I love. Thankfully, I’ve managed to avoid it thus far and I am constantly touching wood to hope that I continue that way.
I’ve completed my second year at university and am about to start my third and final year. I will be honest with you, I haven’t loved uni this year and was thinking over the summer about whether I wanted to carry on. My boyfriend graduated from his university and has been recently struggling with employment in the film industry. So this and the addition of not loving second year did leave me questioning if I even wanted to stay. Well, I’m going to finish the course, I’ve come this far and I’ve never been one to quit, so I’m staying to complete the course.
As I mentioned already, my boyfriend graduated this year with a first in film production at the University of Portsmouth and I was lucky enough to go to his graduation. I am so proud of everything he has achieved, and he has recently got a temporary placement at a production company in London, which is incredible and I am so proud of him. My boyfriend and I are still going strong however with him moving to London and me down south things can be tough but we power through and try to see each other as much as possible.
During the pandemic I have still been working at a supermarket, which is not so fun, but has managed to get me some money throughout. I am still there and will probably remain there throughout my time at uni as it pays the bills at the end of the day (not that I have many thanks to still living at home and having the best mum ever!).
The Cosmic Frog Shop
I still run The Cosmic Frog Shop and am loving it. I get a steady amount of orders each week. Not enough to live off! However, I’m not doing it for the money. Over the pandemic I have loved getting crafty and have thoroughly enjoyed it and found it relaxing. My Etsy shop allows me to continue the crafting process and fund all the supplies I purchase!
Speaking of crafting and supplies, over the last couple of months I have fallen in love with crocheting. I’ve made a few different things like a bag, a toy bunny and clothes for the toy bunny. I would love to actually try and make real human clothes. Maybe this winter? Crocheting has kept me going and people always see me now with a ball of wool and a crochet hook. I carry one wherever I go!
One of my goals for the shop is to increase the range of products I have on there. At the moment it is predominantly stickers, however hopefully I will get my act together and organise a shop update for this month with a few new different products that aren’t stickers. But obviously there will still be some stickers cause I love them!
What’s next?
Well, I guess the big thing is uni kicks back off again this month. (Even though the university say it’s not till October, but our lecturers think differently). Most of my life is staying the same. I do have one holiday planned next month. Maybe I may squeeze one in for this month. Who knows? I obviously haven’t been to Disney in so long and would love to try and get over there soon.
In regards to my social media life, I recently kick started my YouTube channel again. I’ve been posting weekly vlogs again, which I forgot how much I loved doing. So look out for more of those coming soon. I want to start posting more on instagram, but my life is not all that interesting, and I don’t really have much to post about! I guess that’s the same about my blog. I’ve been doing some brain storming about blog posts that I could write. So this blog is a work in progress. My goal is to try and post once on YouTube and maybe twice on here. However, lets not promise anything. I clearly can’t guarantee that as demonstrated with my lack of posting.
Any Disney trips booked?
Maybe?!?!? I’m not saying anything incase they get cancelled. But there is something awesome coming for 2021 and 2022 hopefully!
I haven’t been to Disneyland Paris since January 2020. I’m still an annual passholder and am desperate to get over there before my pass runs out. The rumours about the prices of the annual passes for next year are crazy so who knows if I will still be a pass holder in a years time. I mean, hopefully I will. But even so, I need to make the most of my annual pass while I still have one. If I book anything, you will be sure to find out! To keep up to date with when I am going it’s best to follow me on Instagram as that’s where I will post first.
So there we go, my September 2021 update.
Lots of things said, yet I feel like not much has been said or done. Anyone else feel like their life has been on pause since the pandemic happened? Like I said previously, I hope to be writing more on here and just being a little bit more present in my corners of the internet that I have. So you will be seeing more from me!
