Next week, I go back to college for the last time and I wanted to take this opportunity to just talk about the fact that it is my last year in education ever. I have no plan to go to university as I have (finally) worked out that it doesn’t fit with what I want to do and I don’t want to come out with thousands of pounds of debt at the end of the 3-4 years to be no further down the career path that I want to be on.
So I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the fact that in a years time I won’t have to sit in a classroom full of teenagers who aren’t really bothered about education at all. Don’t get me wrong, I love college. I’ve never loved education as much as I do now, but at the grand old age of almost 20 (20 by the time I finish) I think it is time to put my books down and pick up my camera to start filming a film.
For my final year of education I am doing A Levels at college, and they consist of Film Studies, Media Studies and Photography (all the coursework is gonna kill me!).
I’m incredibly excited to be starting college again, I mean I am (semi) sad that I won’t have that first day at college again, but I’m super excited for the future and hopefully it will be as I hope!
