I ♡ Makeup Naked Chocolate Eyeshadow Palette Review

1

I was in Superdrug one day and I was buying my regular bits that I constantly run out of (concealer & eyeliner) and all of a sudden something came over me! I wanted an eyeshadow palette and I wanted one now! I hunted the entire store to find a palette that was affordable and right for me. I stumbled across the I ♡ Makeup stand, one that I don’t normally bat an eyelid at. I saw they had a million and one different eyeshadow palettes that were very reasonably priced! I spent a good 5-10 minutes swatching all the different palettes until I decided that the white chocolate one was for me (it’s official name is Naked Chocolate, but who am I kidding, we all call it the white chocolate palette!). It was perfect for me as the only chocolate that I actually eat is white chocolate and there was a perfect balance of matte and sparkly shades for my liking! So, I went up to the till and bought it! Not going to lie, it took me a while to start using this palette! Whenever, I get new makeup I feel like I need a special occasion to wear new items of makeup, so when a blogger event came about I knew it was time to bring out some new eyeshadows!

This palette has 16 shadows (10 shimmers and 6 mattes). Part of this palette has two MASSIVE highlight shades which is great because it means I can highlight my lids to my hearts content! This palette reminds me of the Naked 3 by Urban Decay with the colour scheme and the names of this products are so cute, they are actual chocolate bars! Such an awesome idea! The palette also comes with a ginormous mirror that takes up the entire palette which is amazing and I wish more drugstore brands did this as it is super useful! It also comes with a dual end sponge applicator, which personally I don’t use, but if you were starting out this is super handy!

The shadows are SUPER pigmented, much more so than I expected. However, when you first get the palette, you need to really dig into the shades otherwise nothing will go onto the brush, however, once you have done this, honestly be so light with your brush as otherwise you will have a massive splodge of shadow on your face! There was also little to no fallout with these shadows which is a bonus! Honestly, for the quality, I would have guessed this as a high street makeup palette because of how good it it!

Overall, I think it is fair to say that I’m in love with this palette and I’m so glad that I bought it! I need to buy the other palettes in this collection now!
