If you are reading this on the 6th March 2018 then I will be in the happiest place on earth, DISNEYLAND! I am beyond excited to be going to the original Disneyland. I have been dreaming of this moment, for what seems like forever! If you didn’t know, I am such a massive fan of Disney! I would love to work for them one day I am that obsessed! But anyway, I am currently in LA and today we are heading to Disneyland and Disney’s California Adventure (DCA). Unfortunately, I do only have the day here, so I won’t be able to get much done. BUT, I am going to try and do as much as possible, even if it kills me! However, another disappointing thing about this is that there is currently lots of renovation works going on across the Disneyland Resort, so there will be no parade, Main Street is completely covered with walls and over in DCA Paradise Pier has been closed as they are renovating it to become Pixar Pier in a few months. So yeah, a tad disappointing, however, this isn’t going to stop me from having one of the best days!
Visit Mickey’s house
Let’s be real, a dream of mine is to be invited round to Mickey’s house to help him decorate or even look after Pluto. So when I discovered that Disneyland had a Mickey’s Toontown (anyone remember that game?) AND it had Mickey’s house AND you could go inside it, I knew it was somewhere that I needed to be. I’ve seen a few pictures online, however I am trying to keep it as much of a surprise as I can! I am so excited to visit Mickey’s house!
Visit Minnie’s house
Another dream of mine is to be invited round to Minnie’s house for a nice cup of tea. After tea, I feel like she would invite me in to check out all of her bows. Well, this is going to become a reality as Minnie’s house is next door to Mickey’s! Again, I have seen a few photos but I am trying to keep myself spoiler free! From memory, I think it was very pink, but what more can we expect from Minnie?
Small World
No Disney day is complete without going on It’s a Small World. I think I am one of the only people on the planet who doesn’t find the song ‘It’s a Small World’ annoying! I could honestly go on that ride ten times in a row and not get bored I love it that much! This Small World is very different from Disneyland Paris’ It’s a Small World as this one includes some of our beloved characters actually in the ride! How awesome! I’m going to be constantly moving my head trying to spot them all! I love going round in the boats and looking at the dolls from all over the world. I think Small World is such an important ride. It represents the need to appreciate everyone and that we are all the same. What I mean by that is that we are all unique, however we are all human. We all make mistakes and we should learn to forgive and forget. I love this ride and I am so looking forward to this one.
Matterhorn
This is another thing that I am trying to keep myself spoiler free. The Matterhorn is a really cool roller coaster that is only at Disneyland so this is something I would love to go on at some point over the course of the day.
Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room
Now, if I’m honest, I’m not sure about this one, however, I kind of want to do ti! Not sure anyone else in my group will want to do it. Maybe I won’t tell them and we will go in and then they can hate me after for it!
The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
I am in love with that silly old bear and have done many a soppy Instagram or blog post on this bear with very little brain. So it makes sense that I do the ride all about my favourite bear. I’ve never been on a ride that is solely about Winnie the Pooh as Disneyland paris don’t offer anything like this, but I would totally be fine if they wanted to add this in!
The Little Mermaid – Ariel’s Undersea Adventure
The Little Mermaid was definitely a favourite movie of mine when I was a child, so I have to go on this ride. I’m assuming it is similar to the one at Walt Disney World as I have seen so many vlogs with this ride and it looks so magical and cool!
Monsters Inc. Mike and Sully to the Rescue
Another one of my favourite movies as a child, Monsters Inc. I’d love to see my favourite monsters come to life and see their story unfold right before my eyes.
Frozen – Live at the Hyperion
I love Frozen, so I would love to see Frozen live! I love the story of Anna and Elsa and lets not forget Olaf. Olaf gives me warm fuzzy feelings so this show is something that I would love to watch (and probably sing along too!).
Red Car Trolley News Boys Show
I always see this show in vlogs, and I think its a show kind of about Walt Disney turning up and being like I’m gonna start the Disney company. I’m not really sure but it looks like a super cool show and something that I would be into.
Fantasmic
I think one of the perfect ways to end my day at Disneyland would be to see the magical show that is Fantasmic. I will admit that this show won’t be spoiler free as I did watch it when it came back to Disneyland on YouTube at some point last year as I was just too excited, and I remember everyone saying that it was a must see However, I haven’t watched it since then and have been really good at avoiding the show! I’m so excited to see the magic come to life before my eyes!
I am so excited to be going to the original Disneyland. I’m sure I will be crying with happiness to stand somewhere where Mr Disney walked himself. I am very aware that this is a long list and I probably won’t get all of it done, but I am going to try and do as much of it as I can. Let’s hope that there aren’t very many people heading to Disneyland today! I can’t wait to share with you all of my photos from the day!
If you like this style of post I have written one about Disneyland Paris back in October 2017 and another for Universal Studios Hollywood that you should go and check out.
