All I can say about today is wow!

We started the day with the coach being late due to an accident on the freeway, which meant we were an hour later leaving than planned! This wasn’t ideal, but it was no ones fault! Once the bus had arrived we oft on and headed to some film locations, which I was slightly disappointed about as I would’ve happily gone straight to Universal.

The first location of the day was the school from the film Carrie. We also went to some locations from La La Land down in Hermosa. This included the Lighthouse Cafe and the beautiful Hermosa pier. To be honest, I was quite glad we went to these La La Land locations as they are iconic!

We got back on the bus and went straight to Universal Studios. Once we had arrived we headed straight to the studio tour, here you get to see the actual working Universal Studios, which I was unaware of when I was researching. It was incredible! We got to see sets from The Good Place, How The Grinch Stole Christmas, Jaws, Fast and Furious and soooooooo many more! Whilst we were there they were filming American Ninja Warrior, so unfortunately some parts of the tour we were unable to go to, such as the Back to the Future square, but thats ok, as it is just an excuse to go back right?! This was totally one of the highlights of the day!

By the time we had finished the tour it was lunch time, so we headed to Springfield and headed into Krusty Burger to grab a classic Krusty Burger! This was a complete childhood dream of mine! I can’t believe I was sat in the restaurant that was in one of my favourite cartoons! We also met the legendary Krusty! I had a lot of fun with him and my face is a picture in the photos!

After our wonderful lunch, we headed over to Hogsmeade so that my friends could explore the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Even though I’m not the biggest fan of Harry Potter, I was super impressed with Hogwarts. It was incredible, it was like being in the films. My friends headed on the Harry Potter rides and I watched a couple of shows that were incredible. One was a dance show that was based off of the Triwizard Tournament and the other was an a capella singing show that was insane!

After finishing in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and buying a few bits we headed on over to Springfield. Here we did the Simpsons ride and oh was it good! It was like a simulator and you are in a cart on a rollercoaster and you go around with the Simpsons and it goes wrong and you move around and you get squirted with water (it was amazing!). I would happily say that this is one of my favourite rides that I have been on! After experiencing the ride, we actually got to meet Homer Simpson and Lisa Simpson. I had one of the best character interactions with them! They gave me a massive hug and I almost cried of happiness!

Once we had finished over in Springfield, we went down to the Lower Lot to go and enjoy the Jurassic Park ride. This was a water ride with animatronic dinosaurs and it was awesome. I can’t decide if this or the Simpsons ride was my fave, but they were both amazing for different reasons. I did get absolutely soaked on this ride! It was almost like I had walked out of the shower, but it was worth it!

By the time we had finished on the Jurassic Park ride there wasn’t much time left to do much before the park closed. We headed towards the Despicable Me ride, however we stopped instantly when we saw Alex the Lion and King Julian! I knew that we had to get a photo with these guys and let me tell you, it was the best meet and greet ever1! They were so fun!

Unfortunately, it was time to head off, but we quickly stopped and had a chat with Marilyn Monroe, as you do. She asked me where I was from and she said that she loved London and that we should shopping on Oxford Street when she was next over, which I said yes pretty quickly. It’s not everyday that you get invited out shopping with a movie legend! 😂

After we had left the park, we headed down to City Walk which was a massive shopping area. There were so many different shops here that I could have easily spent all my money down here! For dinner we headed to the Hard Rock cafe. I had the pulled pork burger and it was DELICIOUS! I could 100% eat this again! Everything about the Hard Rock cafe was insane! The decor was incredible and the food was delicious, however my only complaint is that the music was a little loud!

If you would like to see this day in vlog form, I have two vlogs from the day that you can check out.

I had the best day at Universal Studios, I think I would quite happily say that it was the best day of the trip. We got to experience so many new things, and I pretty much completed my bucket list. I would happily come back and visit, and I hope to do so in the near future.
