Today, I turn the grand old age of 21. Now, to answer the question that always gets asked on your birthday… ‘Do you feel any different?’ NOPE! It’s such a random question to ask if you feel any different? Right?! Well, I guess the only thing that has changed is that I can now legally drink in America. Not that I am going to the States any time soon!
20 was such a good year for me. I have felt so much better about myself and have made such an incredible group of friends through blogging that I never thought was possible! I also finished college, which was sad, but at the same time, I’m glad its over! No more deadlines, for now! Everything has been on the up. I have been receiving more and more blogger mail (which is super exciting) and I also have lots of events planned over the next few months (and I hope that continues into 2019). Honestly, 20 has been the best year of my life, so far!
I’m currently writing this a couple of days before my birthday. So, I haven’t opened a present, nor a card, but I am so incredibly grateful for the cards and presents that have come through the post. Over the weekend, I have quite a few plans to celebrate my birthday. On Friday, I firstly am going to Southampton with YSL for a makeup masterclass (not a birthday thing, but cool that its happening around my birthday!). Then in the evening, I am going out for dinner with the family at one our favourite restaurants. Saturday (my actual birthday) I am going to be spending the day in London with my Mum. We have lots of lovely things planned! On Sunday, I am going to the Body Shop with the Bournemouth Bloggers so that will be fun (again, not a birthday celebration).
Last week, to start the birthday celebrations, I went out for dinner and drinks with my blogging besties. It was fun, but it was bittersweet as it was also a goodbye meal for Harrison as if you haven’t heard (I mean he has kept it very quiet), but he is leaving and moving to New Zealand. I’m sad to see him go, but I hope he has the best time! It was so nice to celebrate with my blogging friends. These guys have become such a big part of my life, and I couldn’t imagine my life without them now!
Like I said in last years birthday post, even though I am getting older, I’m still a big kid at heart, I mean, I have a trip to Disney in 15 days time! What more could a girl ask for! I have honestly, never been happier, the blog and YouTube channel are slowly starting to take off, with me getting a handful of sponsored posts in and also receiving packages to review on the blog. It’s insane! I have honestly had the best year and I am looking forward to this next year in my life.
