October Layout Bullet Journal

Here is the second part of my bullet journal series. You can check out the first post here. For this post, I thought I would show you my October Layout.

Like I said last month, I like to have themes throughout my layout, and I thought as it is October, that I would go with a Halloween theme. I do enjoy the Halloween season, so I thought why not share my love with a spread dedicated to Halloween.

Title Page

I always associate Halloween with pumpkins, so I had to include a little pumpkin on the page! I also thought that a spider web would provide the page with a spooky vibe.

Monthly Spread

I have kept this fairly similar to my previous monthly spread, but just changed the decorative bits and pieces. I’m not sure if I will keep continuing to add a monthly spread as I haven’t personally used it throughout September, but hey! things could change in October.

Weekly Spread

Again, pretty similar to last months. It worked pretty well for me. Instead of birthday cakes, I have used pumpkins as my little doodle for the date. I’m not going to lie, but I am pretty with how these have turned out. My weekly spread for my October Layout has changed slightly. You will notice that there is no longer a to-do section. I never used this, as I just added my to-do list into my daily section. The notes section has managed to stay (not sure why, as I didn’t use this section either, but I felt like I needed a place to add my thoughts) and also my drinking checker. I still need to work on drinking 8 glasses of water a day!

Additional Pages

Most of these pages will be the same as last month, as I found that these worked well for me, however, for this month I have added a couple of extra pages to help me keep on track and plan things better.

The first additional page is my ‘Race at My Pace’ page. For me, this page was super useful last month and I actually enjoyed keeping my record of how much I had walked/run that month. I actually felt like it made me want to walk a lot more than I normally would. I found myself walking to the shops, instead of jumping in my car. So for my October Layout, I have kept this page and I am currently keeping my walking distance per day goal to 1 mile, as I’m not sure I could do much more on a daily basis.

The habbit tracker was super interesting last month, so I have brought it back as I am finding it so interesting to keep track of my life in such a cool way. I want to try and think of new things to add to the tracker over the next couple of months.

One thing that I have spotted in multiple journals, is that people actually journal in them. I have seen people write pages and pages of their memories from the month. However, I don’t always have the time to write out everything that happened that month. So, I came up with an idea of sticking in some of my favourite photos. I have drawn outlines of polaroid picture and the plan is that at the end of the month I am going to stick in my fave photos from October.

Like last month, I thought I would finish on a Disney quote. As my October Layout is Halloween themed, I thought who better than to have Jack Skellington as my drawing for the month. I love the Nightmare Before Christmas. I need to watch it again, it has been a while!

There we have it. My October layout for my bullet journal. I’m still figuring out what works for me and I am still going to be trying out new things, so bare with me! But, so far, I am loving this bullet journaling journey. Keep checking back here for more bullet journal posts coming out soon.
