Recently, I was invited down to The Bell Inn, which is located in the New Forest for a festive afternoon tea. They came up with the really great name of NativiTea which I think is so fun and festive. A few bloggers from both the New Forest Bloggers and the Bournemouth Bloggers came to try out this festive afternoon tea.
To start we had some delicious Christmas sandwiches.
First up, was the Turkey and Cranberry sandwich, followed by the Cheese and Spicy tomato chutney and lastly, Smoked Salmon and Watercress. DELICIOUS!
I think the best bit for me was definitely the sausage rolls. These were scrumptious! I mean, I love sausage rolls anyway, but these were delicious and probably my favourite bit of the whole NativiTea.
For the cake bit, there were two different ones to try.
One was a Chocolate and Chestnut Yule Log. Now, if you know me (or read my recentĀ Advent Calendar post) you will know that I actually don’t like chocolate, but I asked around and everyone said it was delicious. The outside was soft and so delicious, so I think it was a winner. I did try the second option which was the Tipsy Sherry Triffle with popping candy. This was really lovely! The popping candy was such a fun extra twist to a great dish. The fizz in my mouth was quite exciting! I’m not normally a popping candy person, but this just made it a little fun!
I finished off the NativiTea with a delicious Mince Pie.
In fact, it was probably one of the best mince pies that I have had. Promise that I’m not just saying that. It genuinely was delicious and I would highly recommend! (Thank goodness we were given the recipe in our goodie bag! I’m going to be making a few of these for my family!).
A big thank you to The Bell Inn for having me for this glorious NativiTea. I really enjoyed myself and it was lovely to have some festive time with my blogger friends.
This post is not sponsored. The Bell Inn invited me down to try the NativiTea Afternoon Tea. I was not asked to write a blog post. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
