The Best Christmas Films on Netflix

I love Christmas. Like I have said many times before in blog posts, it is my favourite time of year. One of the things I love doing at this festive time of year is lying on my bed, which is next to my Christmas tree. Stick the Christmas lights on (all of them) and watch Christmas films in cosy pjs. Christmas films are honestly some of my favourite and there are some on Netflix that I just can’t live without and I thought I would share with you my favourites for this year.

Disneyland Paris Christmas 2018

The Princess Switch

A new one for this year. I remember watching the trailer for it a while back. Back then, I already knew I would love the film. It is so cheesy, yet so good. It’s got one of those stories that film makers just re-use over and over again, but you can’t help but love it. Super girly, super cheesy, yet super romantic. Well worth the watch.

A Christmas Prince

This one came out last year and is honestly, one of the most cheesiest Christmas films that I have ever seen. But, I can’t help but love it! It is so cheesy how the girl falls in love with the Prince. I mean, it is your classic fairytale movie (no wonder why I like it!).

A Christmas Prince – The Royal Wedding.

Yep, you guessed it. The sequel to A Christmas Prince. I was honestly quite surprised when I saw this in my recommended. Normally for films like a Christmas Prince, you never get sequels for them. So, on that basis, I was fairly sceptical. Yes, its not quite as good as the first, as there isn’t really any of the falling in love bit as they are both already in love and due to be married. But, it’s still nice to see how the characters develop. I mean, its pretty predictable though. They could never end films like these without a happy ending!

Christmas Inherence

Ok, another super cheesy film. If you hadn’t guessed, my need for cheesy films is at absolute peak at this time of year. Throughout the year you will hear me talk about films that aren’t quite as cheesy, but Christmas, I need all the cheese! Anyway, back to this film! It’s about some rich adult who needs to learn what its like without money (or something like that). Along the way she learns about Christmas spirit, and oh yeah, falls in love (shocker!). She learns how to be charitable and learns responsibility and yadayadayada. You get the drift!

The Man Who Invented Christmas

This is not a Netflix original, and I believe it came out last year if not the year before. I only watched this recently and I really liked it. If you are looking for a non-cheesy Christmas film, then this is the one for you! This film tells the story of Charles Dickens and how he wrote one of his best-selling books, ‘A Christmas Carol’. I really enjoyed this film. It’s different to most of the other Christmas films that I watch. In fact it is so different! I’ve never read the proper version of ‘A Christmas Carol’ (I mean, I have seen the many films and read child versions of the story). Now, I really am desperate to read it. Maybe I will get my hands on a copy soon.

There we have it. Obviously, there are some other Christmas films on Netflix. Some of them being my favourites such as Love Actually, but I felt that was an obvious choice to put on my list! So, I thought I would add some of the less common ones that you should watch this Christmas. What are your favourite Christmas films on Netflix? I’m always looking for recommendations!
