This post is not sponsored. I was invited to Compton Acres by Daren Northeast PR and the Bournemouth Bloggers, for a complimentary look around the gardens and a cream tea in exchange for a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Last month, I was invited down to Compton Acres to explore the beautiful gardens with the Bournemouth Bloggers and Darren Northeast PR. I was super excited to visit, as I have never actually explored all of the gardens and I heard that they were beautiful, so knew I would have to pay a visit.
We started our tour looking at the Italian Villa. I have previously been to the Italian Villa before, as my step-sister actually got married here. It was really lovely to revisit it and reminisce about the day. So, if you hadn’t guessed it, the Italian Villa is used for weddings. It is such a stunning location. The villa itself is great, with three floors (so plenty of room to party).
A quick snap of all of us, and then we were left to explore the beautiful gardens, which is made up of 10 acres.
All the gardens have different themes and you can see that great thought has been put into the different gardens. For me, my favourite was the Japanese garden closely followed by the Italian gardens.
I loved going around and seeing all the different themes. I was definitely in my element going around and taking pictures of all the different flowers.
One thing that I loved about the gardens is how accessible they are to everybody. Some of the gardens have stair or stepping stones that some may not be able to use. However, there are plenty of alternative routes for those that maybe can’t use stairs or whom are too nervous to go over the stepping stones in the Japanese gardens (my balance isn’t the best, and I knew if I wasn’t careful I would be the one that ended up in the water!).
After exploring the gardens. We were invited back to the on-site cafe for a cream tea. Now, as you probably know, I love a cream tea, and this did not disappoint! I even went back in for a second scone (naughty I know, but SOOOOOO worth it!),
Compton Acres is stunning. It is well worth the visit. There is so much to explore and I could have honestly stayed there longer looking at all the beautiful plants and flowers. Also, the scones, DELICIOUS! I will be back!
Thank you so much to Compton Acres, Darren Northeast PR and the Bournemouth Bloggers for the invite. I had such an amazing time exploring the beautiful gardens.
