This post is not sponsored. I was gifted tickets for myself, and a plus one, to see The Mousetrap at the Pavilion in Bournemouth. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Remember when we were children and we were asked what we wanted to be when we grew up? Well, when I was in year 7 at school, my answer was to be a detective. Why you ask? Well, I read my first Agatha Christie novel (it was the ABC murders). I would clutch hold of this borrowed library book and not want to return it (just to be clear, I did return it!). Anyways, fast forward to now. I may no longer want to be a detective when I grow up, however I still love a crime drama, whether thats a book, film or a play.
The Mousetrap is a murder mystery play by Agatha Christie. A cool fact about is that it is the longest running play ever. The play opened in the West End in 1952 and has been running ever since. Since then, there have been well over 27,500 shows, therefore it must be good!
When watching the play, you are fully immersed into the murder mystery.
Throughout the entire show, I was trying to guess whodunnit? Even in the interval, I was sat there, discussing and trying to work out who the murderer was. I had my suspicions! However, it was such fun watching the play unfold before my eyes and seeing the character development and their individual storylines unfold.
Now, if you were after any spoilers for the show, I’m afraid I can’t say. We were sworn to secrecy at the end to keep the Mousetrap locked in our hearts.
Thank you to BHLive Tickets and Bournemouth Bloggers for inviting me to see the play. I loved it and had such a fun time trying to work out who the murder was.
