A Photo Every Hour – November 2017

I was looking for a blog post ideas when I stumbled upon A Grande Life‘s 365 blog post ideas. One of her ideas was to take a photo every hour and blog about your day. I thought this was such an interesting concept and something that I thought would be a bit different. I decided that I would do this because it would give you a bit of an idea of what my daily life is like. I know that you could see my daily life through my weekly vlogs, however, I never go into that much detail about what has happened, so I thought that I would give this a go.

I took these photos on Friday 23rd November.

I wake up between 6:30am and 7am, however I took this photo at 7am to have a rounded time to make it easier to remember the timings to take a photo ๐Ÿ˜‚.

I normally end up staying in bed for a good 30-40minutes as it doesn’t take me all that long to get ready, so by 8am I’m sat at my dressing table doing my makeup.

By the time 9am rolls around I am in college. On a Friday I have a 9am start with my first lesson being film studies.

10am I’m still in my lesson as my lessons are now an hour and half long. Today we were studying surrealism and some of the things that we watch are a tad weird!

Normally my 11am selfie on a Friday would be me driving home, however this particular Friday I had some slight car troubles as in my car wouldn’t start so I was stuck at college for quite a while with nothing to do. So I ended up watching Enchanted on my phone! Thank goodness for Disney Life!

I was getting a little peckish at 12pm so I decided to head for the college cafe to get some food as I was super hungry by this point! However, it took me like 20 minutes to get my food because the queue was so long!

I had no where else to be so I decided at 1pm to head back to my car as I knew that the AA would be there at some point within the hour so I thought that I better sit and wait in my car. If I’m honest with you, I got a tiny bit cold when I was sat in the car and there was not much that I could do to keep myself entertained!

FINALLY by 2pm the AA had finally arrived and he fixed my car! If you are interested my car needed some more oil (quite a lot in fact, it was practically empty!) and a brand new battery!

ยฃ100 and some time later I was home from college (thankfully) at 3pm and the first thing I decided to do was put the heating on as I was frozen! Then I thought it would be a good idea that I grabbed a chocolate bar to make me feel better about myself ๐Ÿ˜‚. My Mum recently went to Amsterdam and she found a white chocolate Twix, so I thought this would be the perfect thing to do to make me feel a little bit better about spending a huge amount of money on my car!

4pm and I was finally warm so I thought it would be nice to do a tiny bit of relaxing before I become super busy towards the evening. I spent this time watching YouTube (mainly The Jeremy Kyle Show because honestly it is my guilty pleasure!) and laying in my bed in the warm!

At 5pm it was time to get ready for Brownies. I put on my guide leader uniform and the next thing that I do is jump on my car and head onto Brownies which is about a 20-30 minute drive away.

By the time 6pm arrives I’ve usually been at the hall where I do Brownies for about 15 minutes or so. I normally have managed to get myself a cup of tea and I’ve normally set up all the activities for the evening and am just waiting for the girls to arrive.

At 7pm I’m counting down the minutes till the girls go home. Don’t get me wrong, I love Brownies, but an hour and a half is a really long time with 37 7-10 year old girls running around. This week was a little less stressful because the Brownies were organising their own activities, which meant I only had to supervise. Therefore, this week I was signing the girls Christmas cards (and there was a lot of them!)

Now, I’m going to be totally honest, but I didn’t take a photo at 8pm as I kind of forgot (well done me!), however 8pm is the time all the Brownies go home and it means that I can leave shortly and go home and sleep! Like I said 37 7-10 year olds is a lot and they tire me out! They all have so much energy that it is so hard to keep up with all 37 of them!

I don’t actually end up leaving the hall till about 8:30 so by the time 9pm has turned up I’m normally starving! This week I decided to be a little cheeky and stop off at the nearby McDonalds (just to clarify I don’t do this every week!) as I was so hungry and its not too expensive! Also, McDonalds have released its Christmas menu, and I love their Chicken warmer! It’s so yummy! Not very Chritsmassy I admit, but its still yummy and I only get it at Christmas!

10pm and I am home and in my pjs about to turn off my Christmas lights cause yes my tree is up already and yes I’m obsessed with Christmas! At this point I was heading to bed as I was super tired and needed to be up early for the next day, but I guess you will have to wait for my weekly vlog to see what happened next!

I hope you enjoyed this kind of post. I guess it was kind of like a photo diary of my day. I might think about making this a little series over here on the blog as this was quite fun to do!

  1. I love the idea behind this blog post! It was really interesting to see about your day. I’m glad your car got fixed and I think I may attempt this one day myself!

    1. You should do it! It was fun, a little bit of a challenge to remember to take the photos, but it was awesome and I want to do more of these! The white chocolate twix was incredible! My Mum bought me some on her recent trip to Amsterdam. They seem to see a lot of our favourite bars of chocolate but in white chocolate form and they are delicious! โ™ก
