Urban Decay Naked Reloaded Palette

So, the other week, I purchased the Urban Decay Naked Reloaded Palette. It was an unnecessary purchase, however it would have been rude not too! The weekend that I visited the Urban Decay stand in John Lewis and Partners they had 15% off of all Urban Decay items. Also, I work for the John Lewis Partnership so I get 25% off non-electrical items. So, can you see that it would have been rude to not get this! I got a whopping 40% off the palette. They are normally priced at £38, however, I only paid under £25.

The Shades

Urban Decay Naked Reloaded Palette. Eyeshadows

I had seen a couple of people with the Reloaded palette online and I had seen pictures of the shadows and I knew that the colours were right up my street. Lots of browns with a handful of pinky shades. I’m not normally a pink eyeshadow person as it reminds me of childhood me putting on the brightest pink shadow that I could find and thinking that it looked cool. However, I find the pink tones in here more of a blush colour which is something that I could cope with. But, there are lots of browns which is perfect for me.

Since purchasing the palette, I have been super excited to try some of the shades. Mostly, burn. It is such a gorgeous almost copper colour that I am dying to try as a base.

This Reloaded palette also reminds me a little of Taylor Swift, as some of the colours (like two) have recognisable names. One being reputation and the other being End Game. So, this makes this palette 1000 times better!

Packaging

The actual packaging of this is something that I am not overly bothered about. I don’t like that they have used a fabric as it gets dirty and is less easy to clean than a tin, but I understand that it feels and looks nicer with fabric. I’m also not overly bothered about the pattern on the fabric. To me, it looks like the lily flower and sorry to say it, I hate lilys (I don’t hate my niece Lily though and I think she looks much nicer than the flower she is named after!). Also, the gold writing against the brown background of the fabric is just not great. I mean you can see it against the pattern, but I feel like a silver would have looked nicer.

My thoughts on the Reloaded Palette

Overal, I actually like the palette. Yep, the packaging isn’t for me, but then thats only the outside of the product. The colours and the Urban Decay quality are what keep me in love with this product.

Have you seen the new Urban Decay palette? Let me know your thoughts.
